Sun, sea breeze and beautiful wildlife make a perfect combination and that's just what the Norwalk Seaport Association offers up in its bird-watching.

Set to depart from the Seaport Dock adjacent to the Stroffolino Bridge at the corner of Washington and Water streets in South Norwalk, the 45-foot C. J. Toth Quest catamaran will take participants on a up close, two and a half hour cruise of the Norwalk Islands.

Join Larry Flynn,  Master Wildlife Conservationist, CT DEEP, Division of Wildlfe, to explore and understand the importance of the Norwalk Islands, and it's many migratorial bird species.

You will visit thousands of birds at a safe distance, nest sites and nesting colonies of Ospreys, Egrets, American Oystercatchers, Herons, Terns, Gulls, Cormorants and many more.

"It's always exciting, everyday is different, there is no normal, turn the corner and it's wow, what's that?"

"Just when you think you have it all figured out, they do something different" said Larry.

There is bird watching and then there is Bird Watching, " I get very involved into what the birds are doing as in bird behavior, trying to understand this move from that"
"We have seen stand downs between large Gulls or Falcons attempting to prey on smaller birds and sometimes larger birds and their chicks, it is unbelievable what happens out there".

"Watching adult birds flying food back from the mainland to an island nest is a novel or two in itself"

"Nat Geo at it's best, is in our own backyard, you don't need a TV to find it, it is right here"

These are some of the experiences what you will see and explore on the Norwalk Seaport's Educational Bird Cruises
